English Indie Rockers Reminders Drop New Single "Post Paris Blues"
The guys of UK rock band Reminders are just having fun. Three friends jamming hard and vibing harder, Reminders pool their talents to craft a distinct brand of what they’ve hailed beach-punk: super accessible bangers heavy with percussion and edgy riffs. Their new single “Post Paris Blues” is easily their best effort yet. Hear what lead singer Leo had to tell us about the new track below:
Like Leo says, “Post Paris Blues” is about getting left in the dust, stuck in the past when all the people you’ve known and loved are moving forward. Music-wise, though, the song doesn’t mimic that slow-motion, standing-still concept — it moves fast. It’s bittersweet in that the lyrics narrate a sense of nostalgia but the arrangement wastes no time erupting into a high-powered crush of indie-rock. The percussive treatment is killer, every smash and punch punctuated in quick, successive beats that lay the base for everything else to jam on, from the bass warbles to the flavored guitar riffs to the vocals drunken with personality. “Post Paris Blues” is the ultimate shake-your-head and swing-your-legs beach-rock bop this season.
