Exclusive: Nashville Songstress Carmen Brandy's Sweet Single "Good Enough"
Nashville is bustling with talent. You've got your rock bands like Kings Of Leon, your prolific chart-toppers like Maren Morris, and your country cuties like Carmen Brandy. You might not recognize that last name just yet but you will. Born in Florida and based in Nashville, singer-songwriter Carmen Brandy is hungry to follow her passions, most of which include music. She's been mentored by Music Row legends and garnered well-deserved awards, honing her craft in the hub that knows music best.
At first we were excited to connect with Carmen because she's a fellow pink-and-sparkles lover, but when we heard her work, we were more than happy to snag the exclusive premiere of her brand new single "Good Enough." Here's what Carmen had to say about the track:
"Good Enough" isn't your typical singer-songwriter anthem sneaking its way to radio with a pop base and catchy rhythms. There's a whole lot of heart behind this one because Carmen wrote it from hers to ours. Opening with a bloom of instrumental crescendo before rapid-fire acoustic strums and shimmers of percussion join the arrangement, "Good Enough" is led by tender guitar and Carmen's breathy voice. Above the increasingly growing layers of soft pop rhythms, she sings herself sweet motivators: "I'll keep on trying / I'll keep on striving," an empowered anthem of self-love. Her voice is a wisp soaring above that gently treated guitar line, floating among more vibrant rhythms and pulsing drum beats. It's nearly four and a half minutes of dynamic indie production and airy vocal delivery proposing a crucial message -- that we are never anything less than good enough.
