Genre-Defying Hybrid Band, littlegoodbad, Release Electric New Single "A Little Rain"
Before littlegoodbad got started, there was pop-soul songstress Rachel B, rock 'n roll drummer Billy Castle, and EDM producer Dinn Winnwood, each operating as distinct solo artists working on a range of projects in their respective genres. Together, the Pittsburgh-based trio make up a hybrid band putting out electric singles with a whole lot of flavor.
littlegoodbad are releasing one single a month in a digital campaign that will engage old fans and cultivate new ones. On their second single so far, "A Little Rain," the trio merge dreamy pop with surprising dance vibes. The track opens with fizzy pulses of percussion before Rachel B's soulful voice comes in singing the hook, "a little rain never hurt nobody." Suddenly, the multi-instrumental arrangement explodes as the beats quicken and launch into a dance banger. Tropical claps, dark synth, and a slick talk-music monologue come together for an eclectic (and addictive) pop anthem. Though the track is inherently radio-friendly, the eerie pops of electro jamming and moments of soaring soprano offer a sultry vibe that rounds "A Little Rain" out as a memorable sing-along from a group of talented individuals sharing their creativity, much to the delight of their fans.
Listen to "A Little Rain" below and catch the band at Pennsylvania's annual Thrival Festival on September 29th.
