Retro-Pop Band, Copilot, Demand We Dance On New Single "Kissing & Cursing"
Massachusetts-based group Copilot are not your average band. Combining powerhouse harmonies with wild multi-instrumentation, they're offering retro-pop goodness. On their new single, "Kissing & Cursing," Copilot are begging their fans to dance like nobody's watching.
"Kissing & Cursing" opens like most of Copilot's tunes -- a deep plucky rhythm line hums before launching quickly into layers of shimmery percussion and quick beats as smooth vocals deliver rapid wordplay. Half a minute in, "Kissing & Cursing" explodes with foot-stomping, knee-slapping multi-instrumentation that's just waiting for listeners to take their friends and family out on the dance floor. The hook is the perfect singalong, "I'm running out of reasons to say that we should try this again," as fiery harmony comes in to make the track even more vibrant. Throughout the song, tropical bass lines merge with insistent percussion and sweet, tongue-in-cheek storytelling for a retro rockabilly tune ready to be stuck in your head for weeks.
